Feedwater Heater Tube Inspection
Feedwater heaters operate in demanding thermal and pressure conditions. Tube condition assessment may need to distinguish general wall loss from localised defects near supports, bends or expanded ends. Array ECT can be considered for suitable conductive non-ferromagnetic tubes; ferromagnetic material may call for another technology.

Localised corrosion, erosion and cracking are potential inspection objectives; feasibility and coverage vary with material and geometry.
Different techniques may be complementary. The inspection procedure must demonstrate response to the target indication under the actual material and geometry conditions.
